THE MOVIE:A-
Alex is your normal "average" guy, problem is Alex doesnt want to be "average" anymore, and his wish is about to come true. One evening after getting in a fight with his cookie baking girlfriend, Alex meets the girl of his dreams Mary Lou. But theres a problem, Mary Lou isnt your "average" girl, shes a blood thirsty succubus from hell burned to death at her prom 39 years before. Mary Lou promptly becomes Alex's new girlfriend, and if anyone messes with Alex they have to deal with Mary Lou. When Alex decides to end his relationship with Mary Lou, he gets allot more than he bargained for, and one killer prom night.

Prom Night 3 is a movie that succeeds where most sequels fail, It kicks the originals ass.Filled with black humor, great spfx, and a surprisingly good cast Prom Night 3 is definately a classic. The storyline is awesome and keeps you guessing all the way to the great surprise ending. If you havnt seen Prom Night 3 I urge you to go check it out, its something most early 90's horror films wernt, good.

THE REINCARNATION OF ISSABELLA DVD (REDEMPTION)
THE MOVIE: C-
The movie is about a satanic cult who reside in a castle along with some unkowning visitors. The cult is hellbent on bringing back an accused witch who was burned at the stake 500 years before, and to obtain their goal they must sacrifice a horde of virgins.

Redemption Video has once again braught us an artsy horror softcore porn flick. The movie itself is horrible, but for some reason I loved it. There's lots of psychadelic colors, killer animals on strings (check out that snake), a guy who looks like Donald Pleasance (Halloween), and satanists wearing pj's as costumes. The plot of the movie is almost impossible to comprehend, especially the last half an hour, but it makes for some good laughs. Overall this movie suxx, but if you like so bad its good movies you definately have to check this one out, dont forget the beers.

DEATHS:D-
Bitings, stabbings, steakings, and heart rippings.

PICTURE:B
The movie is presented in its widescreen version and boasts some pretty vivid colors, but there is quite a bit of film grain.

AUDIO:C
The audio of the movie is just plain horrible, but its in Italian so do you really care. I also must point out the great soundtrack this movie has, if your a fan of Italian horror music you'll love it.

EXTRAS:C-
Trailer - There is a trailer for Reincarnation Of Issabella, which is grainy as hell and is just boring.
INTRO - There is also an introduction to the film by the Redemption Video chick and some dyke femi-nazis, who talk a little (and I mean a little) about nazi exploitation films(?).

OVERALL:D-
If you like good horror flicks than stay away from this pile, but if you like so bad its good movies you'll love this classic crappy(I did).

SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT 2 (IVE)
THE MOVIE:D
It's Christmas Eve and Ricky Caldwell (Billys brother) is being interviewed by a psychatrist about what led him to end up behind bars. He starts by telling the shrink all about his brother, which takes up half the movie and is just scenes from the first Silent Night Deadly Night. Finally after an hour Ricky starts talking about his life, and boy is it lame. Ricky sees some girl getting raped by her boyfriend, who just happens to own a red jeep, and next thing you know Rickys a psycho killer. Eventually Ricky finishes his story, escapes from jail and goes after Mother Superior from the first film.

This movie just totally sucks. The only cool thing about it is over half the movie is just clips from the first one, except they are severly cut to get an R rating. I wouldnt recommend this film to anyone unless you cant find the original, and youve never seen it. Otherwise dont waste your time.

BODY COUNT:
25 (12 being from the first film)

DEATHS:C
Throat slashings, hangings by x-mas lights, hammerhead, arrow in the back, stuck on antlers, window tossing, decapatations, various shootings, axings, death by umbrella, alligator clip electrocution, exploding eyes, and a car explosion.

OVERALL:D
This movie just suxx, except for the first hour of course which is just scenes from the original. The only reason to see or own this film is for thoose scenes (which are severly cut), otherwise dont waste your time.

SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT 5 THE TOYMAKER (IVE)
THE MOVIE: C-
As the story opens, it looks like a fright filled Christmas for young Derek Quinn. He's seen what living horrors lurk inside the brightly wrapped boxes from Petto's toy shop - an experience that left him mute. Now he cant even scream when the deadly toys come to life again in his own house. Who's behind the terror? Is it jolly Joe Petto, his mysterious son Pino or even the strange newcomer named Noah?

Silent Night 5 starts off as a pretty good horror yarn, but as the movie goes on it really starts to get lame. The death scenes are really cool and original, but there are very few. The acting is over the top and the story has way to much unessary drama. Its still a pretty good movie, but it just seems like it tries to hard which just hurts the movie.

BODY COUNT:
4

DEATHS: B-
Various death by killer toys including fire pokers, and the sucking in of eyeballs.

OVERALL:C
Silent Night 5 is an Ok movie but just tries to hard. Not really worth the cash to by it, but atleast deserves a rental.

SLAUGHTERHOUSE DVD (PROGRAM POWER)
THE MOVIE:B-
Les Bacon, a crazy old meatman and his son Buddy (a 360lb pig squeling psycho) have been forced to close down there slaughthouse due to a lack of new technology and wealthier competition When an ex rival slaughterhouse wants to obtain their homestead, they decide to hack their way out of the problem. But they also have another problem, some meddling kids trying to make a horror video in their beloved slaughterhouse, its slaughter time.

Slaughterhouse is a decent 80's horror flick. The story is kinda Texas Chainsaw Massacre like, but Slaughterhouse is totally its own movie. It kinda starts off like your average 80's slasher flick, but quickly turns into a funny gory romp. You cant help but like Buddy and his deranged dad as they carve up the competetion, and thoose pesky meddling kids. The acting is pretty bad with the exeption of Lester and Buddy, but what can you expect from a horror movie. The gore isnt that great either, most of it being off screen. Overall Slaughterhouse works cause of the two lead villans which are just great in their roles and what great roles they are. If you like 80's slasher flicks you'll love Slaughterhouse, its atleast worth a rental.

BODY COUNT:

DEATHS:C
Various deaths by meatclever, severed hands, head crushings, throat slashings, death by meat grinder, and stabbings.

PICTURE:C
Slaughterhouse is presented full frame with quite a bit of grain, but it does look better than previous video transfers.

SOUND:B
Slaughterhouse is in Ultra-Stereo Surround Sound and sounds great. There is one problem though, the commentary track can only be heard through your left speaker. So if you have surround sound the commentary sounds fine, but without it good luck making out what is being said.

EXTRAS:A+
Program Power has done an exellent job with the extras on this disc. You get everything you would want to know about the film, and allot you wouldnt.
Scene Selection - 9
Deleted Scenes - 5, but there just really alternate takes.
Featurettes - 2, Making of with the director which is really informative, and producing a B horror film with the producer which is pretty lame.
Trailers - We get a theatrical trailer, a teaser, and four tv spots. Threres also a No Smoking trailer which is just great.
Buddy On Tour - Theres 2 shot on video segments with Buddy signing autographs and ect... pretty lame.
Stills Galleries - We get Publicity, behind the scenes, and production stills.
Commentary - With the director, production designern and the producer. Pretty cool commentary focused on how they achieved what they did with such a tight budget.
Dvd Rom Extras - 90 stills, the complete script, sketches and conceptual art, newspapper ads and clippings, distribution contract, and the films budget sheet.

OVERALL:B+
Slaughterhouse is a pretty cool 80's horror flick, and with all the great extras on this disc you should definately check it out.

THE STUFF DVD (ANCHOR BAY)
THE MOVIE:B
The Stuff is the most popular dessert food in America, taking over peoples tastebuds and their minds. An ex F.B.I agent named Mo Rutherford (Micheal Moriarty) is hired by a ice cream company to find out what The Stuff is made out of, so they can make a generic version. But Mo gets allot more than he bargained for when he finds out the The Stuff is actually alive, and turning its victims into mindless "Stuffies".

Th Stuff is a great cheesy horror movie, and I for one am glad that Anchor Bay has rereleased this classic. The story is great, and really doesnt take itself that seriously (how could it) which definately helps the film. Dont expect to get scared though, the whole film is played for laughs, and laughs you will get. The performances are great with the exception of Paul Sorvino as the general, who just annoyed me. The movie is also full with some halarious commercials for The Stuff which will make you laugfh your ass off. Overall The Stuff is a great cheesy horror flick that any horror fan should check out, its definately worth the rental.

BODY COUNT:
10

DEATHS:B
Shootings, hit & runs, headcrushings, dog attacks, and of course death by Stuff.

PICTURE:A
The Stuff is presented in its widescreen format and looks great, no complaints here.

SOUND:A
The Stuff is presented in Stereo Sound which sounds great.

EXTRAS:B-
Trailer - A trailer that makes the film look like an action picture, which its not.
Larry Cohen Bio - Talks about Larry Cohen's various ventures into film.
Chapter Stops - 26, check out thoose cool menus
Commentary - With director Larry Cohen which is just great. There are several gaps of silence though but they usually dont last long. Larry mainly talks about the actors and the technical details of the film, which is imformative and entertaining.

OVERALL:A-
The Stuff is a great cheesy horror flick that any horror fan would enjoy. I urge you if you havnt seen The Stuff before go rent it now, you might just become a "Stuffy".
