THERES NOTHING OUT THERE DVD (IMAGE)

Spring Break, seven teenagers, a secluded mountain cabin, and a dark forest.... Sound familiar? Not this time! One of the teens Mike has seen every horror movie known to man, and now he's armed to spot the danger signs of a massacre in the making - a good thing when ther's an evil presence in the woods.... hungry and ready to mate!
There's Nothing Out There starts out really cool, as a total satire of the horror genre. Our lead character, Mike keeps pointing out all the warning signs of a massacre waiting to happen to his retarded friends, but of course they dont listen, which just leads to some halarious scenes. But as the movie goes on his warnings just start to get lame, and so does the movie at that point. The monsters and the gore are pretty cheesy, but are still pretty entertaining. The movie does tend to get lame near the end, but the last scene of the movie is just halarious. There's Nothing Out There is a pretty good movie to kick back with some friends, drink some beers, and get some laughs, but not much more.

There's Nothing Out There is digitally remastered, and presented in its widescreen format. The picture is really nice compared to the trailer, where you can see how crappy this film looked, Image has done a great job.

The audio is Dolby Digital stereo and sounds great
EXTRAS:A
For being such a low budget movie this disc is loaded with special features. Theres a trailer, stills gallery, bloopers, cast auditions, deleted shots, animation test footage, filmographies, and a commentary with the director and the cast that runs throughout the movie, as well as most of the extras. The commentary is really cool and its pretty much the only cool extra on this disc. The behind the scenes and auditions are just boring, but with the commentary on there it actually makes them kinda interesting. Overall though its amazing at how many extras Image has put on this disc, usually on an Image releases were lucky if we get a trailer, so this disc is a nice improvement from there norm.
OVERALL:B
There's Nothing Out There is a pretty funny horror satire, and with all the extras its a pretty nice DVD as well.

TOTAL RECALL SPECIAL EDITION DVD (ARTISAN)
THE MOVIE:B
Douglas Quaid is a bored construction worker living an average life sometime in the near future. But Doug has been having some odd dreams about Mars lately which have become an obsession for him. Doug soon hears of a company called Rekall that offers an alternative to expensive and dangerous vacations. They simply implant a memory in your brain of a vacation, set to your specifications. With Doug choosing the role of a secret agent, he decides to try and experience the Mars trip he’s always dreamed about. But something goes wrong because Doug’s memory had been previously wiped out and replaced with a new one. The Rekall procedure temporarily awakens part of his old self, and next thing you know his whole world is turned upside down. People he thought were friends are trying to kill him, and others are after him as well. His only solution is to really go to Mars and find out who he really is, and what his role might be in an interstellar revolution.
Total Recall is by far my favorite Arnold film next to the Terminator. Theres tons of non-stop bloody action and great pre-CGI effects. The plot keeps you guessing every minute who is on Doug's side and who is not. If your into action packed sci-fi films take a trip with Total Recall you wont regret it.

Commentary - With Arnold and director Paul Verheven which is great. Paul talks most of the time on how the film works on two levels, with Arnold throwing in things here and there. My only complaint is that Paul wont shut up half the time for Arnold to talk.
Imagining Total Recall Documentary - 30 minutes. Pretty cool documentary talking about how the movie came to be.
Rekall Virtual Vacations - Really lame feature were you get to look at different computer animated worlds from one angle for 30 seconds.
Cast & Crew Info - Info on the Total recall team. With bio's for 5 cast members and 9 crew members

If you a fan of Total Recall you'll love the treatment Artisan has given this disc, even though most of the extras are lame. If you havnt seen the film and your a sci-fi fan you should definately check it out.

THE WIZARD OF GORE DVD (SOMETHING WEIRD)
THE MOVIE: C+
Montag the Magnificent (Ray Sager), THE WIZARD OF GORE, is a seedly small-time magician with a shocking stage act. Hypnotizing pretty young women from the audience to be his obedient volunteers, Montag then proceeds to mutilate them in a series of Grand Guignol illusions. Trouble is, after the show, the "illusions" become all to horribly real. Intrigued by Montag's act but unaware of his true powers, television talk show hostess Sherry Carson (Judy Cler) invites Montag to be on her show. Montag prompyly hypnotizes the viewing audience and leads Sherry toward a fiery new illusion.
Th Wizard of Gore is by far one of my favorite Herschell Gordon Lewis films. The scenes were Montag performs his "acts" are great, very gory, and kinda have a weird surreal feel to them. As far as the acting, dialogue, and sets go, there all terrible, but c'mon this is a H.G Lewis flick, not Speilberg. The main, and only reason to watch this movie is for all the great graphic gore scenes.

Digitally remastered, colors look great, but theres allot of scratches and grain on the print.

Muffled and pretty low.

Trailer- Very grainy and scratchy, but theres a really cool warning at the begining.

Commentary- By H.G Lewis, really cool and informative, but at times very boring.
H.G Lewis Gallery Of Exploitation Art- A Stills gallery that mainly shows ads for some of Lewis's sexploitation flicks. They change pretty fast, so your pause button will definately come in handy.
OVERALL: B-
The Wizard Of Gore is pretty much a movie for gorehounds. If your into acting and stuff like that this films definately not for you, but if your into extreme gore films you have to own this DVD.

WITCHOUSE 3 DEMON FIRE VHS (FULL MOON)
THE MOVIE:F
Annie is a young girl in an abusive relationship. One day after a violent confrontation with her boyfriend Annie decides to pack her bags and move in with some old friends, Stevie(Debbie Rochon) and Rose(Tina Krause). But she probrally wish she had'nt, you see Stevie and Rose are working on a documentary on witchcraft and decide to have a seance to spice up things up. Next thing you know the girls are being stalked by an evil witch known as Lilith(Brinke Stevens)who's hungry for some blood.
Witchouse 3 is the awfull work of once cool B filmaker J.R Bookwalter (The Dead Next Door). The film is very amaturish with bad acting, barely any blood, and a lame plot. The performances by the primarily "Scream Queen" cast is just horrible, the only one who does a decent job is Brinke Stevens as Lilith. The movie also has a twist ending which can be seen a mile away, dont waste your time on this one folks. Remember I warned you.
