THE STUFF DVD (ANCHOR BAY)
THE MOVIE:B
The Stuff is the most popular dessert food in America, taking over peoples tastebuds and their minds. An ex F.B.I agent named Mo Rutherford (Micheal Moriarty) is hired by a ice cream company to find out what The Stuff is made out of, so they can make a generic version. But Mo gets allot more than he bargained for when he finds out the The Stuff is actually alive, and turning its victims into mindless "Stuffies".

Th Stuff is a great cheesy horror movie, and I for one am glad that Anchor Bay has rereleased this classic. The story is great, and really doesnt take itself that seriously (how could it) which definately helps the film. Dont expect to get scared though, the whole film is played for laughs, and laughs you will get. The performances are great with the exception of Paul Sorvino as the general, who just annoyed me. The movie is also full with some halarious commercials for The Stuff which will make you laugfh your ass off. Overall The Stuff is a great cheesy horror flick that any horror fan should check out, its definately worth the rental.

BODY COUNT:
10

DEATHS:B
Shootings, hit & runs, headcrushings, dog attacks, and of course death by Stuff.

PICTURE:A
The Stuff is presented in its widescreen format and looks great, no complaints here.

SOUND:A
The Stuff is presented in Stereo Sound which sounds great.

EXTRAS:B-
Trailer - A trailer that makes the film look like an action picture, which its not.
Larry Cohen Bio - Talks about Larry Cohen's various ventures into film.
Chapter Stops - 26, check out thoose cool menus
Commentary - With director Larry Cohen which is just great. There are several gaps of silence though but they usually dont last long. Larry mainly talks about the actors and the technical details of the film, which is imformative and entertaining.

OVERALL:A-
The Stuff is a great cheesy horror flick that any horror fan would enjoy. I urge you if you havnt seen The Stuff before go rent it now, you might just become a "Stuffy".
